How to Choose a Scent Diffuser for 4500 m³

Published: · Updated:

SDL616 and SDL821 both list 4500 m³ coverage, 1000 ml oil capacity and Bluetooth / WiFi / Button control in the confirmed specifications. Choose between them by enclosure dimensions, construction and the installation brief; neither coverage figure guarantees performance at every site.

Buyer problem

A 4500 m³ procurement brief is often a combination of reception, circulation and display areas rather than one unobstructed room. A buyer who selects only by total volume may overlook separate ventilation zones, access restrictions and the maintenance route. Before comparing prices, record the volume of each zone, doors, airflow, operating hours and where a technician can safely refill the reservoir. These are application planning questions, not evidence of a completed customer installation.

Equal starting specifications
Both models state 4500 m³ coverage and a 1000 ml reservoir. Those shared values do not establish equal refill intervals, oil consumption, noise levels or on-site scent distribution; these depend on the selected configuration and operating conditions.
SDL616 placement
SDL616 lists 220 × 140 × 340 mm, 14W, 12V and an iron chassis with a plastic atomizer head. Use the dimensions to check a proposed position and ask for the additional clearances needed for opening, refilling and service.
SDL821 placement
SDL821 lists 125 × 100 × 160 mm, 14W, 12V and an iron cabinet with an aluminum atomizing head. Its different enclosure is a reason to review installation drawings, not a promise of compatibility with an existing cabinet or HVAC system.
Control decision
Both list Bluetooth / WiFi / Button. Specify which ordered configuration you need and ask for operating instructions and network requirements. A WiFi listing alone is not proof of cloud management or multi-site control.
Procurement decision
Request a sample with the intended control configuration and destination-market documents. Compare the approved sample, specification, inspection checklist and quotation together; do not treat a generic specification as the entire purchasing agreement.

Decision criteria

What to confirm before ordering.

  1. 01

Calculate volume per independently ventilated zone rather than adding unrelated rooms.

  2. 02

Compare both enclosure dimensions with the planned position and confirm service clearances.

  3. 03

Write the control configuration, sample acceptance criteria and destination market into the RFQ.

  4. 04

Ask for original model-scoped documents and a site review before committing to a deployment.

Evidence

Coverage, capacity, dimensions, power and controls are listed on the SDL616 and SDL821 product pages and in the core specification summary. Original compliance documents identify their own model and tested-sample scope. Factory footage supports supplier review, but does not establish project performance.

FAQ

Quick answers.

Does one unit always cover a 4500 m³ building?

No. Stated coverage is a model specification, not a site guarantee. Separate rooms, ventilation and placement require a project review.

Does the smaller SDL821 enclosure make it the better choice?

Not automatically. Check maintenance access, installation conditions and the exact configuration; enclosure dimensions alone do not establish suitability.

Should I select SDL820 instead?

Review SDL820 when the brief calls for its stated 10000 m³ coverage and dual reservoirs, but a larger rating does not remove the need for zoning and compatibility review.
